Chronic back pain or injury keeping you from doing the things you love? Or have hours sitting at a desk created stiffness in your low back and hips?
Revitalize and strengthen your back in this 2-hour workshop with Forrest Yoga and Pilates teacher, Lisa Day.
Designed for anyone suffering from chronic or sporadic back pain, tension and/or weakness. Discover safe techniques to help you find more comfort, ease and vitality in your back.
We’ll begin with a discussion of common sources of back pain and ways to safely stretch and strengthen the low back, including:
Ways to modify your practice of any style of yoga to diminish, heal and avoid re-aggrevating back pain
Movements and poses to avoid as well which to make a part of your regular practice
Tips for working with common low back issues and injuries including disc degeneration and herniation, sciatica, stenosis and SI joint dysfunction
Lisa will then guide you through a 90-minute Forrest yoga-inspired practice designed to enliven the core and strengthen your back. Work, sweat and attain freedom from back pain.
All ages, ability and experience levels are welcome. The room will be gently heated to 80-85 degrees to allow the body to move in an easeful, pain-free way.
